The Garmin quatix 7 and the Garmin LiveScope Plus Ice Fishing Bundle both won Best of Category awards at ICAST 2022.

Garmin Wins Best of Category Awards — for the Fourth Year Running — at ICAST 2022

The Garmin quatix® 7 marine smartwatch brought home a Best of Category ICAST award in Wellness and Novelties, while the Garmin LiveScope Plus Ice Fishing Bundle snagged the same honor in the Ice Fishing category.

For the fourth year in a row, Garmin snagged a Best of Category award at the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST) — in fact, this year we brought home two. The Garmin LiveScope Plus Ice Fishing Bundle, which includes an ECHOMAP™ UHD 93sv combo, a LiveScope Plus System and a lightweight lithium battery, emerged victorious in the Ice Fishing category, and the Garmin quatix 7 – Sapphire Edition, a multisport GPS smartwatch that has all the features you need both on and off your boat, ranked at the top in Wellness and Novelties.

The “Best of Category” awards are voted on by industry media and buyers at the fishing industry’s most prestigious trade show and highlight the most innovative products in fishing. And while we have to admit to being slightly partial, we’re not particularly surprised that these two hooked the judges. Each is a game changer in its own right — and each can be an invaluable tool to help you bring in more fish.

Powered by a lightweight lithium battery, the LiveScope Plus Ice Fishing Bundle features a LiveScope Plus System, which offers two live-scanning sonar modes — Down and Forward — with improved resolution, reduced noise, clearer images and better target separation — all to help you adapt your fishing technique based on what’s happening in the water around you. The sonar pairs with a large ECHOMAP UHD 93sv combo touchscreen display, allowing you to see up to 200’ in any direction. And of course, the unit comes preloaded with LakeVü g3 maps with integrated Garmin and Navionics® data, covering more than 18,000 lakes in the U.S.

The quatix 7, on the other hand, can be used whether you’re on or off the water. With an AMOLED dislay, built-in sports apps, advanced training metrics and smart notifications, the watch functions as an elite smartwatch no matter where you are. But on your boat, it’ll also connect with your compatible Garmin marine technology. Connect it to your chartplotter for remote control of key MFD features, including chart zoom, layout shortcut, Fusion® stereo, and it even has the ability to autopilot your boat when you aren’t at the helm. It’s an easier way to captain your day.
