When You Make an IERCC Account
Garmin stores information such as your name, email address and password so you can sign in. It also helps us verify your account if you call customer support.
When You Register a Device or Sign Up for a Membership
When you register an IERCC-supported device on our website, we ask you to provide your name, phone number, email address, physical address and emergency contact information. This gives us the details we need to provide search and rescue coordination services to you on behalf of the provider of your device.
When You Use IERCC’s Services
To ensure you or your loved one gets the help they need when you use the IERCC’s search and rescue coordination services, Garmin processes your mailing address, telephone number and the contact information for your chosen emergency contacts.
In order to provide assistance to the person in need, we also process information about your device and its location and any personal data that you provide while communicating with IERCC representatives during the course of the services. Incident-related data, including your communications with IERCC representatives may also be recorded.
When You Purchase a Membership to Other IERCC Services
When you buy a membership for any of the IERCC’s additional services, we ask for information such as your name, address and phone number so we can get your purchase processed.
We have third parties verify your address and process your payment information, but Garmin does not store your payment card details. We only use this information to help us complete your orders.
When You Communicate with the IERCC
In order to provide you with stellar customer support that’s directly related to your inquiry, we may collect things such as your name, phone number and information about the IERCC services you use when you interact with our customer support or sales representatives.
