Garmin updates Fusion EL Series lineup with speakers redesigned to rock the waves

New, redesigned 6.5” speakers expand Fusion’s popular speaker line

OLATHE, Kan./January 24, 2023 – Garmin (NYSE: GRMN), the world’s most innovative and recognized marine electronics manufacturer, today announced updates to the EL Series 6.5-inch Marine Speakers from Fusion® Entertainment, a Garmin brand. Engineered to deliver a high-quality audio experience at an entry-level price, these speakers now feature a water-resistant, injection-molded polypropylene (IMPP) cone for clean, clear audio reproduction. The IMPP cone comes standard on all EL Series models.

Combining both function and style, the series also adds a sports gray grille option, which was previously only available in an RGB illumination model. All three grilles in this series are easily interchangeable and provide a unique touch to enhance the aesthetics of any boating experience. The EL Series is ideal for installations where mounting depth is limited, with a mounting depth requirement of only 1.69” (43 mm), but still manages to unleash impressive sound quality in a 6.5” speaker.

Keep the beat going year after year

Built to withstand the rigors of a harsh marine environment, the rugged EL Series Marine Speakers are constructed to an IP65 rating for water and dust ingress protection, with a salt fog and UV stable design. Tested to international standards for pressure and water ingress, these speakers are manufactured with superior materials and acoustic engineering to ensure they look and sound great on the water.

Maximize audio performance

When fully integrated with a Fusion DSP-enabled stereo system – like the MS-RA210 – and Fusion’s Signature Series Marine Amplifiers, these speakers deliver optimized and clear sound reproduction to each individual zone. With a full Fusion system on board, boaters can enjoy the benefit of both premium onboard entertainment and a streamlined setup and installation.

The series also includes an RGB illumination option for a more ambient listening experience. The illuminated speakers are only available in sports gray and require a Fusion RGB wireless remote for full LED control.

The EL Series 6.5” Marine Speakers are available in non-illuminated models with a suggested retail price of $109.99. The 80-watt sports gray marine speakers with RGB LED lighting have a suggested retail price of $129.99.
