Walleye Angler Marianne Huskey Joins Garmin Pro Team

Garmin is pleased to announce the addition of Marianne Huskey, professional walleye angler, to its marine pro team lineup. Huskey joins more than a dozen professional anglers that will be representing Garmin and its new line of sonar and GPS devices designed specifically for freshwater anglers across the professional tournament circuits in 2015.

Huskey was the first woman in the history of major professional fishing circuits to win Angler of the Year in 2012. Currently she competes in the National Walleye Tour, having fished in every event the circuit has held to date. Prior to joining the National Walleye Tour, Huskey competed in the AIM Professional Walleye Series from 2009-2012 as well as the FLW National Guard Walleye Circuit and was the highest placing female in the Pro-Am Walleye Tournament Series. “I’m very excited to be joining the Garmin team,” said Huskey. “I believe Garmin has some of the most innovative sonar technology and detailed inland cartography out there and I know their products are going to help me find structure and fish like never before.”

Huskey is also a professional U.S.C.G. licensed captain and professional fishing guide, and offers a number of open-water classes and seminars on topics including Garmin marine electronics.

Garmin’s portfolio includes some of the industry’s most sophisticated chartplotters and touchscreen multifunction displays, sonar technology, high-definition radar, autopilots, high-resolution mapping, sailing instrumentation and other products and services that are known for innovation, reliability, and ease-of-use.
