We promote the safe management of hazardous components and support the recovery and reuse of valuable materials through recycling. We hold regular environmental meetings and monitor recycling trends to stay current with recycling needs and ensure compliance in other countries and have established device recycling protocols in the U.S., Japan, Europe, China and other locations around the globe.

We welcome the opportunity to contribute to the protection of human health and the environmentally sound recovery and disposal of electronic waste through compliance with the WEEE Directive.

If requested, we provide the information needed by reuse centers and treatment and recycling facilities in the reuse, treatment or recycling of our products.

Safe and Proper Disposal of Products

Some of our products contain small quantities of mercury in the liquid crystal display panel or internal lamp. The owner’s manual for your device will specify if it contains mercury.

These components should be serviced or replaced only by a Garmin certified service technician. In addition, these products must be disposed of in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local requirements.
