Garmin GMI 10 – Instrumental in design

Gmi10_2 A dazzling addition to the Garmin marine instrument range, the GMI 10 is a bright and sharp, sunlight-readable, 3.5-inch diagonal full-colour display seen first this week at the London Boat Show.

The GMI 10 provides the user with speed, depth, weather, engine and fuel-related information at a glance with plug-and-play configurability. You can use the GMI 10 independently, in a series, or alongside other components in the Garmin Marine Network and it will be available in February 2008.

Complementing this release is the launch of a range of intelligent transducers with a beam width of 15 degrees and a maximum depth of 600 feet. These ‘intelliducers’ will output depth and water temperature to the GMI 10 in NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 and are available in both transom or through-hull configurations to deliver a wealth of data direct to the helm.
