BAVARIA selects Garmin® for its onboard electronics

Bavaria Yachts, one of the world´s leading yacht manufacturers with international presence, and Garmin, the global leader in satellite navigation, are delighted to announce their partnership with effect from January 2011 onwards.

Garmin will be the sole provider of all electronics onboard all motor and sail boats by BAVARIA. This complete package can first be purchased at the Düsseldorf boat show which starts from the 22nd January.

This complete system of equipment will include;

-      Chartplotters

GPSMAPTM 4000 and 5000 series of chartplotters which serve as your all-in-one nerve centre for the Garmin Marine Network with a multifunctional display which has options to show radar, fishfinder and any other data available on the NMEA 2000® bus.

720s (received a special mention at the Dame awards, METS 2010) Featuring a brilliant 7-inch display putting all the information you need at your fingertips. Again, options for radar, fishfinder and all other data are available on the 720
-      Instrument

GMITM 10 Digital Marine display adds a new dimension of flexibility for boaters who want a fully integrated marine instrument system. Digital, graphical or analogue style display of all available data via NMEA 2000.
-      Autopilots

The GHP 10 designed for powerboats with hydraulic steering, delivering stunning performance in all sea conditions, the GHP 10V to control the Volvo IPS systems fitted to some of the motoryachts and finally Garmin’s new GHPTM 12, second-generation sail pilot designed for 20- to 70-foot sailboats with linear-actuated steering systems. All feature rate gyro stabilised heading sensors for accurate course keeping and fast heading data for the on-board system.
