Whether you're heading off on holiday or embarking upon a series of expeditions, you can choose mapping for your exact destination to use on a Garmin DakotaTM, OregonTM or GPSMAP® 62 handheld or Edge 800. This will provide you with an Ordnance Survey backdrop, complete with familiar symbols, contours, elevations, summits, paths, and more.

As well as OS raster mapping for Great Britain, Ordnance Survey Ireland mapping is also available at a scale of 1:50k. We also offer similar BirdsEye Select services for Germany, Austria, the Eastern Alps (including part of Italy), Switzerland and France with variable scale detail depending on the region or country.

There are two ways to buy BirdsEye Select. It is available at www.garmin.com/uk/maps/ or you can buy directly through BaseCampTM, Garmin’s free planning software, which you can download at www.garmin.com/basecamp

BaseCamp enables you to view and organise your maps, waypoints, routes and tracks then send directly to your Garmin device. The topographic map data is displayed on your computer screen complete with elevation profiles and you can view or rotate maps from any angle to examine all aspects of the area you wish to explore.

By using BaseCamp you can plan out your route on your newly purchased BirdsEye Select mapping for that exact area, then upload everything to your handheld – making it a simple, seamless process.
