Following his prize winning entry into our ‘Train with a Champion’ competition, keen 17 year old triathlete Nathan Hughes from Derbyshire enjoyed (if that’s the word!) a hard day’s training with the 2006 Triathlon World Champion – Tim Don.
Nathan and Tim took to the country lanes around Swadlincote on a 62k ride , and then topped it off (after Nathan had raided the cookie jar for sustenance) with a 3 mile run. It was a great opportunity for Nathan to get training and racing advice from Tim, and will hopefully be great motivation for him as he trains through the Derbyshire winter.
As for Tim, he is now back in full training following his fractured elbow, and is fully focused on putting in the long hours of preparation as he readies himself for Olympic year. Click back here over the winter to see some of Tim’s training progress.
