Garmin Staff Raise Money for Children in Need

A team of Garmin staff have completed the Nine Lakes Challenge, mountain biking and hiking in the trails and mountains of the Lake District, for Children in Need.

Finish

The event had various challenges to suit different ability and fitness levels. The "black" challenge was a gruelling 50km bike and hike into the Langdale Pikes in the Lake District reaching nine lakes in nine hours with 1,800 metres of ascent en route. The "red" and "blue" challenges of 40km and 30km respectively were equally demanding, as was the 20km hike only option.

Gosia Zawadzka from Accounts, Becci Starr and Will Taylor from I.T. and Mark Sammut from Customer Care took part in different challenges during the day, combining hiking and biking.

Will Taylor saysIt was an incredible day, but exhausting and definitely challenging. It was a privilege to take part and raise money for such a good cause.”
