Garmin® introduces a host of new marine accessories for added onboard convenience, control and security

OLATHE, Kan./Oct. 30, 2018/Garmin International, Inc., today announced three new accessories built with the mariner in mind – the Reactor Autopilot Remote, GRID™ 20 Remote Input Device and GC™ 200 Marine IP Camera – as part of its new marine product line-up being introduced at the 2018 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. These new accessories provide added convenience, control and security onboard, and will be on display at the Garmin booth #332.

Reactor Autopilot Remote

The rugged, water-resistant Autopilot Remote is the ultimate in onboard control and convenience. Boasting a bright, sunlight-readable colour display and an enhanced user experience, the Reactor Autopilot Remote features a comfortable ergonomic design and programmable presets for quick access to your favourite functions. The new Autopilot Remote lets users control steering with ease – it even features gesture controls for heading hold and course corrections; simply point the remote in the desired course direction. No need to worry if the remote takes a trip overboard, because it’s water-resistant and it floats. And with a 45-foot range, it’s never been easier to place autopilot control in the palm of the captain’s hand. The Reactor Autopilot Remote includes a cradle and wrist and neck lanyards and is expected to be available in Q4 2018 with a RRP of £299.99.

GRID 20 Remote Input Device

The easy-to-use GRID 20 remote input device provides intuitive remote access and control of an entire Garmin marine system. It features a 360-degree joystick with a rotary knob and push-to-select button for easy chartplotter menu/setting navigation and fine control, even in the worst conditions. Users can designate four favourite keys to restore their system to a previously saved configuration. There are also a variety of hard keys for quick access to important functions, including left and right screen switches, autopilot standby/engage and more. For peace of mind, there’s also a dedicated SOS key. For added flexibility, the GRID 20 can be wired via NMEA 2000, the included power cable, or installed wirelessly (AA batteries required). This plug-and-play solution can be tailored to a user’s system preference with both vertical and horizonal mounting options, and its small footprint makes it convenient to integrate into a busy helm or between two displays. The GRID 20 is expected to be available in Q4 2018 with a RRP of £259.99.

GC 200 Marine IP Camera

Designed to provide users added security onboard their vessel, the GC 200 IP Camera allows mariners to monitor areas above and below deck in clear, real-time HD video – even in low light. Up to four cameras can be streamed at a time on a single chartplotter or shared across multiple compatible chartplotters on the Garmin Marine Network. The GC 200 IP Camera features a reverse-image setting on compatible chartplotters, which is especially useful backing out of tight locations such as crowded marinas. It’s easy to install, and its small size and discreet design blend into the surroundings. The GC 200 IP Camera can be mounted in virtually any orientation, because its images can rotate 90/180/270 degrees. It comes with a rugged, water-resistant case, so users can place it nearly anywhere they need a camera. The GC 200 IP Camera is expected to be available in Q4 2018 with a RRP £479.99.
