Garmin Europe wins the prestigious International Trade Award

We’re very pleased to announce that Garmin Europe was presented with the prestigious International Trade Award at last week’s Hampshire Business Awards in the UK.

Judges required evidence of a marked increase in international activity over the last 12 months, commitment to international trade, increased export or import turnover, sales into new markets, innovative products, versatility, imagination and persistence. Finalists proved they had fully embraced the global marketplace, with innovative strategies to demonstrate that Hampshire business talent works at a world-class level.

Simon Pickett, one of the award judges and head of corporate banking at The Royal Bank of Scotland in the Solent, said: “Garmin’s commitment to international trade has resulted in a huge growth in sales and the number of locally-based staff, making it a worthy winner.”
 
Garmin Europe was also one of the three finalists for the Company of the Year category. This award commended local companies achieving all-round business excellence in their products, services, results and strategic direction, and could demonstrate a dynamic approach to quality and innovation.
