Garmin expands ECHOMAP Ultra 2 series with larger 16-inch chartplotter
Offering bigger, high-resolution displays with built-in sonar and mapping to help serious anglers find and catch fish
Garmin, the world’s largest1 and most innovative marine electronics manufacturer, today announced the ECHOMAP™ Ultra 2 16-inch chartplotter series designed for inland and nearshore anglers that demand a larger, sharper display with premium mapping and exceptional sonar capabilities. Boasting the ECHOMAP series’ largest touchscreen ever with keyed assist, these innovative chartplotters include a full HD resolution display for ultimate clarity, brightness and readability.
“The new ECHOMAP Ultra 2 chartplotter is designed to help experienced anglers maximise their time on the water. The bigger screen with full HD resolution allows them to see the difference between fish and structure in incredible detail, even on bright and sunny days.” –Susan Lyman, Garmin Vice President Consumer Sales & Marketing
An angler’s ultimate companion
- Built-in sonar: For brilliant image clarity of structure and fish below and to the sides of the boat, select models include a GT56UHD transducer, Garmin’s premium all-in-one scanning transducer that provides Ultra High-Definition ClearVü™ and SideVü™ sonar along with CHIRP traditional sonar.
- Live sonar: All ECHOMAP Ultra 2 units are compatible with Garmin’s full line of award-winning LiveScope™ live-scanning sonar.
- Preloaded mapping: Experience unparalleled coverage and detail with built-in AU/NZ Garmin Navionics+™ mapping, which includes Auto Guidance+™ technology2. Users can also add Garmin Navionics Vision+™ mapping for high-resolution relief shading and more.
- Wireless networking: Share sonar3, waypoints and routes with another ECHOMAP Ultra 2 or ECHOMAP UHD2 chartplotter on board, reducing the need to drill extra holes in the boat, while also keeping the deck space free from the clutter of extra cables.
- HDMI output: Anglers now have the option to mirror their screen on a TV or external display.
- Multi-band GPS: Receive improved position accuracy when under bridges, along bluffs or in coves with tree cover.
- Force® integration: Wirelessly connect to a Force trolling motor to navigate to waypoints, create and follow routes, control speed, check battery life and more.
- Voice controls: Give voice commands to the chartplotter via built-in Bluetooth® technology and paired compatible headset to control sonar settings and Force trolling motors.
Expected to be available in August, the ECHOMAP Ultra 2 16-inch chartplotter will be available with a GT56UHDtransducer for a recommended retail price of $5,999.00 AUD.
