If you have an Android, you can even respond directly to messages from your watch using our predetermined response options. - Add an extra layer of safety precautions. It’s always a good idea to try to make sure your friends and family can find you in the event of an emergency. Garmin smartwatch users can set up the LiveTrack feature in the Garmin Connect™ app and then use the feature when paired with a compatible smartphone. This keeps a real-time view of your location during a GPS activity so your loved ones can see where you are when you venture out for your next jog. If you choose to share the information with them, they’ll be able to see your current location, the duration of the activity, the distance you’ve traveled, your heart rate and more.
