Garmin® Portable echo Kit – the perfect accessory for fisherman on the go

Garmin, the global leader in satellite navigation, announced the new echo portable kit, the newest accessory to accompany the popular line of echo fishfinders.

This soft-sided carrying case has a rigid structure that’s great for durability and support, which is an absolute necessity for the fisherman on the go. The echo portable kit provides a built-in cable management and storage system for a transducer to ensure that it can be transported at a moment’s notice. Alongside trays designed for the included 12V rechargeable AGM battery and transducer storage, the echo portable truly provides all the fishing necessities in an easy-to-handle bag. The echo portable kit also comes with a 220V battery charger as standard.

Garmin will present the new portable echo kit to the international trade and media at the METS exhibition in Amsterdam, hall 01.103. It will be available in the first quarter of 2013 at a RRP of £99.99.

“From kayaks to ice-fishing, small vessels to canoes, the echo portable kit can meet the needs of any fisherman”, explains Mattias Daldborg. “The carrying case can harbour any model of the wide range of Garmin echo fishfinders and is therefore the perfect accessory to accompany the new echoMap 50s, announced at the METS exhibition as well.”

With the included new suction cup transducer mount, Garmin provides a perfect mounting solution, which ensures the best possible manoeuvrability. The included foam floating device means ice fisherman can utilize this portable unit too. Simply loop the transducer through the floating tube, adjust accordingly to your depth specifications and start fishing. For additional information on the Portable Echo Kit visit
