Alexi Pappas

Elite Runner

Described as a Renaissance woman, Alexi is not just an elite athlete, but a filmmaker, actor, artist and poet. A Greek-American distance runner, Alexi is a national record holder in the 10,000 meters (31:36). She has been profiled in The New York Times, New York Magazine and Rolling Stone and featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered.” A strong believer that winning is about hard work, not luck, Alexi politely disagreed with the president of the United States when he complimented her running talent, calling it a natural gift.
