New Garmin Flight Deck at the Heart of Cirrus Vision SF50
We are proud and excited to announce along with Cirrus Aircraft, the creation of a new, state-of-the-art, touchscreen-based flight deck for the Cirrus Vision SF50 Personal Jet. This aircraft, the pioneer of a new class in general aviation, has taken the combination of cutting-edge technology with pilot-friendly, intuitive avionics to the next level.
The Cirrus Perspective Touch™ by Garmin is tailored to the Vision SF50 Jet’s cockpit, setting a new standard with the latest, most innovative features. The integrated touchscreen system includes 14” desktop style Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Multifunction Display (MFD) glass screens with split-screen capability. This allows for additional presentation of Aircraft System Synoptics and dedicated displays for engine/fuel analysis, landing gear, electrical power, environmental properties, ice protection, weight and balance entry, digital pressurization monitoring and a full QWERTY touch keypad.
Three GTC 580 touchscreen controllers, in landscape orientation, are positioned directly under the PFD and MFD providing user-friendly input for navigation and communication information. They also incorporate a Standby Flight Display, with Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS), and air data sensors leveraged from an independent source.
Many features included on the Vision SF50 flight deck are familiar to that of the Cirrus SR22 operators, allowing ease of transition to those pilots looking to step-up. These similarities include Electronic Stability & Protection (ESP), Automatic Descent Mode and a blue Level Button that corrects any spatial disorientation by automatically rolling level and holding altitude.
It is a mission of both Garmin and Cirrus to create the optimal flying experience for all pilots, and the new Cirrus Perspective Touch™ by Garmin aims to do just that.
