Garmin and GAMA Host General Aviation Rally

General aviation is alive and well—and we can prove it. On Friday, April 6, at the Garmin International headquarters in Olathe, Kansas, we teamed up with the General Aviation Manufacturers Association—or GAMA— plus industry leaders, state representatives, and hundreds of Garmin associates to celebrate the contributions of the general aviation manufacturing industry to the Kansas and U.S. economies.

Local aviation leaders and state representatives discuss the state of general aviation.

Hosted in our brand new, 720,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution center, the rally featured guest speeches plus a panel made up of aviation leaders. Guests included GAMA president and CEO Pete Bunce, Kansas Lt. Gov. Tracey Mann, Kansas Representative Ron Estes, plus industry leaders from Textron Aviation, Bombardier Business Aircraft, Yingling Aviation and more.

Garmin Aviation Managing Director and Executive Vice President, and current GAMA chairman Phil Straub, led a panel discussion highlighting the present state of general aviation, where the industry has opportunities to grow, and what is needed for future success.

GAMA’s mission is to foster and advance the general welfare, safety, interests and activities of the global business and general aviation industry. To watch the full Garmin-GAMA rally, click here.
