It’s a great start to Day 1 of Europe’s largest general aviation show today in Friedrichshafen, Germany! We’ve had a number of customers visit us, ask great questions and learn a lot about our feature-rich product line. Our booth has been very busy, so what’s all the buzz about?
G3X Touch has been a huge hit at the show and we love the feedback we’ve been receiving from all of you! It’s been nearly one year since we unveiled this glass flight display system for experimental amateur-built and light sport aircraft. This vibrant, touchscreen display is flexible and adaptable for hundreds of aircraft, offering customers the option to choose between any combination of up to four 10.6-inch or 7-inch displays.
For customers looking to equip their aircraft to comply with the 8.33 kHz spacing mandate, Garmin has several options which fulfill this requirement and meet a variety of needs. The latest GTR 225 COM and GNC 255 NAV/COM meet this spacing mandate and offer additional features. Additionally, the GTN 650/750 touchscreen GPS/NAV/COMM offers pilot-selectable 25 kHz and 8.33 kHz channel spacing, while providing a large touchscreen display for easy navigation in congested airspace.
We’re featuring a variety of products, including aviation accessories for VIRB, our HD action camera that is designed with pilots in mind. When paired with the D2 Pilot Watch, pilots can remotely start/stop video and take in-flight photos with VIRB. The D2 Pilot Watch also contains a worldwide airport database, as well as an adjustable baro setting, compass, timers and vibrating alerts – a must-have for any pilot!
Stay tuned to Lucy’s Logbook tomorrow – I’ll give you five exciting reasons to visit Garmin at AERO, which may leave you booking a ticket to Friedrichshafen just to see us!
