The SCOTT-SRAM MTB Racing Team (formerly SCOTT-Odlo MTB Racing and SWISSPOWER) has a long history in mountain bike racing. It all started in 2002, when Thomas Frischknecht became the face of SCOTT SWISSPOWER racing team with former national coach Andi Seeli. The team’s philosophy of developing young, talented riders — such as Kate Courtney, Florian Vogel and Nino Schurter — and bringing them into a professional structure has turned their riders into national, world, World Cup and Olympic champions.

If the team had a mascot, it would be
Julia, our physiotherapist. She’s not a mascot, but she’s the heart of the team.
Proudest moment of 2019
At the UCI MTB World Cup finals in Snowshoe, W. Va., when Lars Forster won the overall race, and Kate Courtney and Nino Schurter secured World Cup champion titles.
The UCI MTB World Cup race in Lenzerheide, Switzerland
Lars Forster is always good for a surprise.
Nino Schurter. He’s the most experienced rider and the best in the league.
Gummy bears for Kate Courtney and nuts for the rest of the team
Favourite moment in team history
Both the men’s and women’s teams winning at the games in Rio
Most humbling moment
At the 2017 Absa Cape Epic, we won everything from the final stage to the overall race. This was a team effort, and not just the riders. To celebrate such a thing as a family really bonds the group.
