Team Milram has 27 riders including Erik Zabel. Garmin will supply the team with its Edge 305 heart rate and cadence monitoring GPS devices for use during training and racing. It will also supply the team’s cars and vans with its popular Nüvi 660 sat nav devices. 

  

 

The Giro Di Italia - stage by stage

UCI Pro Cycling team, Team Milram chooses Garmin as its official supplier of cycle computers. Garmin has been unveiled as the official supplier of cycle computers to UCI Pro Cycling team, Team Milram for 2007 to 2009. Newly formed in 2006, Team Milram has 27 riders including Erik Zabel. Garmin will supply the team with its Edge 305 heart rate and cadence monitoring GPS devices for use during training and racing. It will also supply the team’s cars and vans with its popular Nüvi 660 sat nav devices.

Having achieved some success in 2006, Team Milram has restructured its team set-up including its performance system going into the 2007 cycling season. The team’s sports directors will be focusing on developing the potential of each rider. The Garmin GPS-enabled cycle computers will enable the team’s riders and sports directors to monitor and analyze both training and race performances and adapt the riders’ fitness schedules accordingly.

"We made a good start in 2006, but we are looking to improve our performances during the 2007 season," said Gianluigi Stanga, Team Manager, Team Milram. "We have set some tough, but achievable goals for the team. Having Garmin onboard supplying our cycle computers will enable us to fine-tune our training practices, accurately review each cyclist's performance at every stage of every race and give us an even better chance of meeting these targets and winning key races."

Team Milram will also upload regular training and key race stage information to Garmin’s MotionBased.com website where the public will be able to follow the team's progress. Team Milram's MotionBased Digest   will go live in March 2007. "We are really pleased that a team at the top of the cycling profession has chosen to use the Edge 305" said Andrew Silver, Garmin Europe's Fitness & Outdoor Product Manager. "It is a great endorsement for Garmin and we are confident that our computers will help Team Milram go from strength to strength."
