Laurie Minard joined Garmin in 1996 and started the human resources department. She became director of human resources in 2002 and was promoted to vice president in July 2007. Minard is responsible for recruiting/talent management, payroll/compensation, benefits, training and career development as well as employee relations. Prior to joining Garmin, Minard worked as a corporate recruiter for Electronic Realty Associates and Tippins. She earned her bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Kansas.
Minard has been an executive board member for Employment Practices Network of Kansas City since 1999. She also has served on the Olathe Chamber of Commerce executive committee and board of directors since 2003.
